PrlVmDevHd_AddPartition Function

Assigns a boot camp partition to the specified virtual hard disk.

Parameters

hVmDev

A valid handle of type PHT_VIRTUAL_DEV_HARD_DISK identifying the virtual hard disk.

phPartition

[out] A pointer to a variable that receives a handle of type PHT_VIRTUAL_DEV_HD_PARTITION containing the new partition information.

Returns

PRL_RESULT. Possible values:

PRL_ERR_INVALID_ARG - invalid handle or null pointer was passed.

PRL_ERR_SUCCESS - function completed successfully.

Remarks

When creating a virtual machine based on a boot camp partition, this function must be used to obtain a handle of type PHT_VIRTUAL_DEV_HD_PARTITION. The handle can then be used to set the system name of the boot camp partition that you would like to use.
