5.1. Managing Network Adapters on the Hardware Node¶
Network adapters installed on the hardware node are used to provide virtual machines and containers with access to each other and to external networks. During the installation, Virtuozzo registers all physical network adapters available on the server. Once Virtuozzo has been successfully installed, you can manage network adapters on the hardware node using native RHEL7 utilities. You can also create bond and VLAN interfaces (for example, with the
nmtui tool) and use them instead of physical ones.
- Each network adapter must have only one configuration file in the
- Do not change host network settings while virtual environments are running. Otherwise you may need to restart the VEs to propagate the new network settings to them.
- NetworkManager does not manage virtual network adapters of containers and virtual machines, i.e.
