8. Managing subscriptions¶
A subscription is a product the customers have bought or subscribed to. You can request the following:
Creating, editing, suspending, resuming, and deleting a virtual environment (virtual machine or container).
Creating, editing, suspending, resuming, and deleting a user.
8.1. To create a virtual environment subscription¶
Go to your CloudBlue Connect vendor portal and click the Subscriptions icon.
Click the + Create subscription button in the upper-right corner.
In the dialog that appears, do the following:
In Create Subscription - Step 1 Introduction, read general information about a subscription and click Next.
In Create Subscription - Step 2 Environment, select one of the available environments (Vendor internal test, Test, or Production) where you want to create the subscription and click Next.
In Create Subscription - Step 3 Product, select the desired product in the list and click Next.
In Create Subscription - Step 4 Marketplace, select the marketplace that will be used to create the subscription and click Next.
In Create Subscription - Step 5 Price List, No price list is selected by default. Click Next.
In Create Subscription - Step 6 Offer, No offer is selected by default. Click Next.
Create Subscription - Step 7 Plan is skipped by default.
In Create Subscription - Step 8 Customer Account, select the customer and click Next.
In Create Subscription - Step 9 Review Customer, review the customer’s details selected in the previous step and click Next.
In Create Subscription - Step 10 Select Items, click + Add items, select the checkbox next to the items you want to set, specify their quantity, and click Next.
Note
To have a virtual environment created with the desired values for the items (such as CPU, RAM, etc.), select the checkbox next to the reservation model items you want to set when filling in a VE creation subscription, even if you choose the pay-as-you-go model. Otherwise, the system will create a virtual environment with the default item values.
Important
If you do not set any floating IP when filling out a virtual environment creation subscription, the system automatically assigns one floating IP to such a virtual environment. If you request one floating IP, two floating IPs will be assigned to such a virtual environment, i.e., the one you ordered and another IP automatically added by the system.
In Create Subscription - Step 11 Attributes, view the automatically generated subscription external ID and UUID. Click Randomize if you want the system to generate another ID and UUID. Otherwise, click Clear and enter your own values.
Create Subscription - Step 12 T2 Parameters and Create Subscription - Step 13 T1 Parameters are skipped by dafault.
In Create Subscription - Step 14 Subscription parameters assignment, specify the values of the parameters for the subscription. Click Create.
Note
If you turn off the Subscription parameters assignment toggle, after the request creation, on the subscription page, you must complete the activation form, which requires specifying an operating system, VE hostname, and VE password.
In Create Subscription - Step 15 Summary, view the details and status of the subscription. Click Go to details to view all the details and status of your subscription. Otherwise, click Close.
Once the status of your subscription changes from processing to active, on the subscription page, on the Control Panel tab, you will see the credentials to your virtual environment.
Additionally, on the subscription page, on the Reservation and Pay as you go tabs, you can view a report showing the total accepted quantity for the whole period of the subscription. It is updated hourly. To view a more detailed report, refer to Viewing reports.
On the subscription page, on the Parameters, Details, Tiers, and Fulfillment tabs, you can view all the information and history of the subscription.
8.2. To create a user account subscription¶
Note
A subscription for creating a user account in PowerPanel enables them to manage their virtual environments on the UI side.
Go to your CloudBlue Connect vendor portal and click the Subscriptions icon.
Click the + Create subscription button in the upper-right corner.
In the dialog that appears, do the following:
In Create Subscription - Step 1 Introduction, read general information about a subscription and click Next.
In Create Subscription - Step 2 Environment, select one of the available environments (Vendor internal test, Test, or Production) where you want to create the subscription and click Next.
In Create Subscription - Step 3 Product, select your product in the list and click Next.
In Create Subscription - Step 4 Marketplace, select the marketplace that will be used to create the subscription and click Next.
In Create Subscription - Step 5 Price List, No price list is selected by default. Click Next.
In Create Subscription - Step 6 Offer, No offer is selected by default. Click Next.
Create Subscription - Step 7 Plan is skipped by default.

In Create Subscription - Step 9 Review Customer, review the customer’s details selected in the previous step and click Next.
In Create Subscription - Step 10 Select Items, leave the default Power Panel item selected. Click Next.
In Create Subscription - Step 11 Attributes, view the automatically generated subscription external ID and UUID. Click Randomize if you want the system to generate another ID and UUID. Otherwise, click Clear and enter your own values.
Create Subscription - Step 12 T2 Parameters and Create Subscription - Step 13 T1 Parameters are skipped by default.
In Create Subscription - Step 14 Subscription parameters assignment, specify the values of the parameters for the subscription, such as a PowerPanel password. Click Create.

In Create Subscription - Step 15 Summary, view the details and status of the subscription. Click Go to details to view all the details and status of your subscription. Otherwise, click Close.
Once the status of your subscription changes from processing to active, on the subscription page, on the Control Panel tab, you will see the URL and login to your PowerPanel account.
Additionally, on the subscription page, on the Reservation, Parameters, Details, Tiers, and Fulfillment tabs, you can view all the information and history of the subscription.
8.3. To change a virtual environment subscription¶
Go to your CloudBlue Connect vendor portal and click the Subscriptions icon.
Select the subscription you want to edit.
On the subscription page, click the Actions button and select Change.
In the dialog that appears, do the following:
In Change subscription - Step 1 Overview, view general information on the subscription to be edited. Click Next.
In Change subscription - Step 2 Items, set new quantity values for the desired items, click + Add items to add new items, or click
next to the item you want to remove. Click Next.Note
When updating resources for a virtual machine, it stops automatically and restarts after the resources have been updated.
In Change subscription - Step 3 Parameters, set new values for the desired parameters. Click Next.
In Change subscription - Step 4 Review, view old and new data of the parameters you requested to change and click Create change request.
In Change subscription - Summary, view your request status and click Close.
8.4. To change a user account subscription¶
Note
The action of changing a user account subscription is available to vendors only. End users must cancel their previous PowerPanel user account subscription and request a new one. The system assigns the same previously used login, and the user can set a password.
Go to your CloudBlue Connect vendor portal and click the Subscriptions icon.
Select the subscription you want to edit.
On the subscription page, click the Actions button and select Change.
In the dialog that appears, do the following:
In Change subscription - Step 1 Overview, view general information on the subscription to be edited. Click Next.
In Change subscription - Step 2 Items, leave the default item and its value. Click Next.
In Change subscription - Step 3 Parameters, set a new PowerPanel password. Click Next.
In Change subscription - Step 4 Review, view old and new data of the parameter you requested to change and click Create change request.
In Change subscription - Summary, view your request status and click Close.
8.5. To suspend a subscription¶
Go to your CloudBlue Connect vendor portal and click the Subscriptions icon.
Select the subscription you want to suspend.
On the subscription page, click the Actions button and select Suspend.
In the dialog that appears, do the following:
8.6. To resume a subscription¶
Go to your CloudBlue Connect vendor portal and click the Subscriptions icon.
Select the subscription you want to resume.
On the subscription page, click the Actions button and select Resume.

8.7. To cancel a subscription¶
Note
After canceling a virtual environment subscription, the virtual environment and its backups exist during the period set in the "dataRetentionPeriod" parameter in the config.json file. The virtual environment is stopped, and the user cannot view and manage it via PowerPanel, except for the administrator. After the expiration of this period, the system removes the virtual environment and its existing backups for such a subscription. They are immediately removed during the cancellation request if "dataRetentionPeriod" is set to zero (0).
Go to your CloudBlue Connect vendor portal and click the Subscriptions icon.
Select the subscription you want to cancel.
On the subscription page, click the Actions button and select Cancel.
In the dialog that appears, do the following:
