11. Configuring Leostream Broker¶
There are six main management tabs.
The first tab on the top, “Signed in as Administrator”, tells you who you are logged in as, lets you logout and change the Admin Password.
The Dashboard Tab Provides info about Statistics, reports, and Downloads.
The Setup tab lets us configure, Authentication, MFA, VHI integration, and configure the gateway.
The Configuration tab is where we will configure things like, Pools, Protocol Plans, Power Control Plans, Release Plans etc.
The Resources tab allows us to see our resources imported from or generated on VHI.
The System allow us to configure system parameters such as, SNMP, Alerts, Backups, add SSL certificates etc.
We will be using the changing the Admin Password, and using the Setup, Configuration and Resources tabs.
Change the default password.
Configure Active Directory on the Leostream Broker. Active Directory Configuration will enable us to login to our Desktops with an Active Directory user and use roaming profiles.
Now, we need to add a new “Center” to the Leostream Broker. The “Center” concept in Leostream is the equivalent of a project/tenant on VHI. Go to Setup > Centers and Click on “add a center”. This step is the key to the integration between Leostream and VHI, and also will enable the owner of the cloud to manage multiple tenants from the Leostream Broker.
Name: Provide a name that will help you differentiate this Tenant/Project.
Auth URL: VHI OS_AUTH_URL e.g. https://virtuozzo.admin.panel.ip:5000/v3
Region: Default VHI region = RegionOne
Project Domain: Name of the Project Domain.
Project: Name of the project.
User Domain: The same as the Project Domain in this example.
Username: Name of the user with Admin capabilities for the project.
Password: Password for the user with Admin capabilities for the project.
Inventory Scan Interval: How newly created resources on this “Center” are discovered. There is an automatic discovery when adding the “Center” for the first time.
Once the “Center” has been added, we will be able to see the status, discovered desktops, instance images available and scan manually for new resources.
Checking image availability on the newly created Center. The image “windows-vdi-image” will be used in this example to create pool of Desktops.
The next step is to configure the Leostream Broker to use the Leostream Gateway we installed previously. From Setup > Gateways > Add Gateway. Provide the necessary information to configure the Leostream Broker to use the Leostream Gateway when providing access to the Virtual Desktops.
