Issue date: 2024-05-21

Applies to: Virtuozzo Hybrid Infrastructure 6.1

Virtuozzo Advisory ID: VZA-2024-018

1. Overview

In this release, Virtuozzo Hybrid Infrastructure enables virtual CPU and RAM overcommitment per node, as well as provides stability and performance improvements, and addresses issues found in previous releases.

2. New Features

  • [Compute service] Flexible virtual CPU and RAM overcommitment. Added the possibility to set the virtual CPU and memory overcommitment ratio per node. System administrators are now able to configure different overcommitment levels that can serve different types of workloads for each node in the compute cluster.

3. Bug Fixes

  • Network errors occur when migrating a VM that was previously released from its security group. (VSTOR-49565)

  • Disk assignment is stuck on a failed disk. (VSTOR-75742)

  • Failed to resize a disk of a Kubernetes VM under a high load. (VSTOR-76058)

  • Unable to detach a volume while cloning it. (VSTOR-80734)

  • Domain administrators cannot list projects and groups for their own domain users. (VSTOR-82861)

  • Incorrect S3 storage size is displayed in the admin panel. (VSTOR-82918)

  • Fixed an issue with disks’ identical GPT UUIDs. (VSTOR-83126)

  • Using an incorrect URL path for metadata may result in the 500 HTTP error for the Nova API. (VSTOR-83673)

  • Failed to retry upgrading a single-master Kubernetes cluster with insufficient quotas for temporary master nodes. (VSTOR-83678)

  • The “Backend task state” dashboard does not show when a task was completed. (VSTOR-83687)

  • Unable to add a node to a cluster if the node interfaces have a low speed. (VSTOR-83812)

  • Added alerts for the expiration of the management panel SSL certificates. (VSTOR-84766)

  • Assigning a storage disk timed out. (VSTOR-85229)

  • Fixed an issue with ploop overflow that may lead to corruption of images larger than 2 TB. (VSTOR-85428)

  • Stability improvements for compute volume backups. (VSTOR-83777, VSTOR-84356, VSTOR-84686, VSTOR-84949)

4. Known Issues

  • IPMI Remote Console may stop responding after updating a node to 6.1. In this case, you can reboot the node to fix it. (VSTOR-84303)
