1. Overview

Virtuozzo Hybrid Server 7.5 Update 6 introduces new features and provides stability, usability, and security bug fixes. Additionally, it provides a new kernel 3.10.0-1160.105.1.vz7.214.3.

2. New Features

  • Updated Virtuozzo Storage packages to the latest version. This version brings a performance increase in the sequential write speed for erasure coding. (PSBM-148337)

3. Bug Fixes

  • A critical security issue in container suspend/resume in the Virtuozzo Hybrid Server 7.5 Update 5 version. (PSBM-151015, PSBM-153331)

  • A node could crash on the ‘qed’ network driver. (PSBM-152843, PSBM-146761)

  • A node could crash when a packet was stalled in the bridge ARP queue. (PSBM-151735)

  • Unable to stop or restart a container and unmount its ploops. (PSBM-151205)

  • The ‘iptables’ command could take a long time to execute inside an AlmaLinux 8 container. (PSBM-150147)

  • A route table could not be preserved in a container after migration. (PSBM-144261)

  • An error could appear while downloading files from an S3 bucket. (PSBM-152771)

4. Installing the Update

Install the update with yum update. Reboot the host and switch to the new kernel. If you are updating from Virtuozzo Hybrid Server 7.5 Update 5, Virtuozzo Hybrid Server 7.5 Update 5 Hotfix 1, or Virtuozzo Hybrid Server 7.5 Update 5 Hotfix 2, restart existing containers to have the security fix (PSBM-151015, PSBM-153331) applied.
